WHY ARE THE MARKINGS NECESSARY?
The markings of deposit packages are required for identifying the packages. The correct markings indicate that the package belongs to a deposit-based return system. The deposit marking tells the consumer that the product contains a deposit and the value of the deposit, and the barcode is required for identifying the package in the reverse vending machines. The material marking, in turn, is necessary in the recycling of materials.
